Call 911 first if a worker may have heat stroke. Rapid Restoration Drops are a dietary supplement, not emergency care. While you wait, or for early signs like cramps and dizziness, JMAR's steps are: take a label-dose shot, follow with fluids and rest, then monitor.

- ## 911 comes first

Call for any suspected heat stroke or medical emergency.

- ## Label dosing only

Emergency support: 1 tsp in a few ounces of any liquid.

- ## Fluids and rest

JMAR says rest 10 to 15 minutes while following OSHA heat stress guidelines.

- ## Monitor and repeat

Repeat as needed, per the label, if the worker still feels depleted.

## What do I do first in a heat emergency?

Call 911 if you think a worker has heat stroke or any medical emergency. Stay with the worker. Rapid Restoration Drops are a dietary supplement. They are a safeguard, not a substitute for emergency care. Learn the difference in [heat exhaustion vs heat stroke](https://jmarsolutions.multisites.ai/guides/heat-exhaustion-vs-heat-stroke).

## What are JMAR’s three steps for early signs?

For early signs such as weakness, dizziness or cramps, JMAR’s protocol has three steps. Use them alongside your site’s own heat plan and emergency procedures. Call 911 if a worker gets worse.

1. **Replace lost electrolytes.** Take a concentrated shot. Use the label: _Emergency support: Add 1 tsp to a few ounces of any liquid._
2. **Follow with fluids and rest.** JMAR says to rest for 10 to 15 minutes while adhering to OSHA heat stress guidelines. _Follow with additional fluids._
3. **Monitor for results.** _Repeat as needed_, per the label, if the worker still feels depleted. JMAR also suggests daily use in any liquid for ongoing hydration.

## Why does JMAR keep drops close to the crew?

When a worker shows weakness, confusion, dizziness or cramps, every minute counts. JMAR says plain water or waiting on a sports drink can be too slow, and that the drops give a quick [electrolyte](https://jmarsolutions.multisites.ai/glossary/electrolyte) replacement. Stage the drops in trucks, tool bags and first aid kits so a supervisor can act at once.

JMAR says the drops help the body absorb fluids and help reduce muscle cramps, headaches and fatigue. They do not treat heat stroke. See [heat illness](https://jmarsolutions.multisites.ai/heat-illness) for signs and responses.

## When do minutes matter most?

JMAR lists these situations: extreme fatigue, severe dehydration, heat-related emergencies and critical response needs. In each one, start with your site’s emergency plan and 911 if needed.

## Questions crews and safety managers ask

### When do I call 911 for a heat emergency?

Call 911 for any suspected heat stroke or medical emergency. Signs include confusion, passing out, or a worker who cannot respond. Do not wait to see if the drops work. Rapid Restoration Drops are a safeguard, not a substitute for emergency care.

### What dose do I use in an emergency?

Use the label. Emergency support: Add 1 tsp to a few ounces of any liquid. Follow with additional fluids. Repeat as needed.

### How long should a worker rest?

JMAR's protocol says to follow with additional fluids and rest for 10 to 15 minutes while adhering to OSHA heat stress guidelines. A worker who does not improve needs medical help. Call 911.

### What are early signs that a worker needs help?

JMAR lists weakness, confusion, dizziness and cramps. Move the worker to shade, stop the task, and stay with them. Use the label's emergency support dose and watch closely. Call 911 if signs get worse.
