Why is construction work so hard on hydration?
Construction crews work outside, lift heavy loads and wear PPE. That combination drives sweat loss. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics found that at least 99.5 percent of construction laborers, landscaping workers and firefighters were exposed to the outdoors on the job. NIOSH calls the mix of body heat, weather and PPE heat stress.
Water, rest and shade come first. Read the jobsite hydration plan and the heat stress prevention pillar to build that base.
Where do Rapid Restoration Drops fit on a jobsite?
Rapid Restoration Drops fill the gap after prevention. They are a liquid electrolyte concentrate that replaces electrolytes lost in sweat and supports hydration. Add the label’s suggested amount to any drink. One 4 fl oz (120 mL) bottle holds 48 servings.
JMAR says the drops are unflavored, with no sugar, no calories and no dyes. Learn how the liquid electrolyte concentrate works on the drops pillar page.

Which construction trades use the drops?
JMAR serves concrete, landscaping, roofing, HVAC and road construction crews. Each trade faces its own heat load, from hot slabs to attics to asphalt. The drops ride along in a cooler, a truck or a pocket.
Jared Douglas, President of Advent Air Conditioning, says: “The summer before we started implementing JMAR’s hydration products, we unfortunately had to pull one of our Techs out of a hot attic after passing out.” That is the kind of moment a heat plan must catch early.
What does JMAR add besides the product?
JMAR runs a Hydration Game Plan with three parts: Create, Educate and Achieve. JMAR works with your safety manager to build the plan. It then runs onsite toolbox talks with fresh, interactive hydration education. Ongoing hydration and wellness coaching follows.
Start with the hydration programs page. Use the heat toolbox talk guide to open your next crew meeting. Review acclimatization for new hires.
What if a worker shows signs of heat stroke?
Call 911 and cool the worker right away. Confusion, slurred speech or unconsciousness are signs of heat stroke, according to OSHA. Rapid Restoration Drops are a dietary supplement. They are not medicine and not a substitute for emergency care. Review the emergency protocol before the season starts.
