On-site consultation

OSHA's On-Site Consultation Program gives small and medium-sized businesses free, confidential help with workplace safety. It can help employers plan for heat-related illness and injury.

On-site consultation is an OSHA program. It gives employers free and confidential safety and health help. It is built for small and medium-sized businesses. In its April 2026 heat release, OSHA says the program can help employers develop approaches to heat-related illnesses and injuries.

Use it to check your heat illness prevention plan before a hot season starts. Pair it with training, such as a toolbox talk. Our guide on the heat stress program for employers shows what a plan should cover. Check OSHA's page for how to request a visit in your state.
