Potassium
Potassium is an electrolyte found in all body tissues. It helps cells, the heart and muscles work properly and helps keep fluid inside cells.
Potassium is an electrolyte and an essential nutrient. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements says it is present in all body tissues. Cells need it for normal function because it helps maintain fluid volume inside cells. MedlinePlus adds that it helps your cells, heart and muscles work properly.
Together with magnesium, it is part of the electrolyte mix in many hydration products. Rapid Restoration Drops list potassium (potassium chloride) at 300 mg per 1 tsp serving on the label. Learn more in our electrolytes 101 guide and on the liquid electrolyte drops page.
